Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager

About the Project

Sphere is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to support the development of a digital healthcare application.

The project involves a mobile health solution focused on cardiovascular and pulmonary health, including wearable-device functionality.

This is a hands-on role combining Business Analysis and Project Management. The initial focus will be on requirements discovery and validation, followed by structured planning, coordination, and delivery management.

Responsibilities:

  • Review existing project documentation, identify gaps, and validate assumptions with business stakeholders.

  • Lead requirements discovery sessions and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

  • Define project scope and prepare functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with engineering to validate technical feasibility, dependencies, and effort estimates.

  • Develop and maintain the project plan, timeline, milestones, and delivery priorities.

  • Establish and manage the Jira backlog, ensuring requirements are sufficiently detailed and ready for development.

  • Organize Agile sprints and coordinate engineering, UX/UI, QA, and other stakeholders.

  • Track project progress, manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes, and proactively address delivery blockers.

  • Ensure alignment between business requirements, technical implementation, and quality expectations.

  • Establish effective project management practices and bring structure to an evolving development process.

  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide visibility into progress, risks, and delivery status.

Requirements

  • Experience combining Business Analysis and IT Project Management in software development projects.

  • Experience delivering healthcare software or digital health solutions.

  • Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and scope management skills.

  • Hands-on experience creating functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience managing software development teams and coordinating cross-functional delivery.

  • Strong knowledge of Jira and Agile project management practices.

  • Ability to structure projects from incomplete or ambiguous requirements and establish effective processes independently.

  • Experience planning timelines, milestones, sprint activities, dependencies, and delivery priorities.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct interaction with business and technical stakeholders.

  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership in a dynamic environment.

  • Availability to work predominantly within European time zones.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with mobile healthcare applications.

  • Familiarity with wearable devices and health data integrations.

  • Experience with regulated healthcare software, medical device development, or quality management systems.

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS), or Verification & Validation (V&V).

  • Experience leading projects with tight timelines, evolving requirements, and lean engineering teams.
