Job Summary
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective clients through outbound sales activities. You will serve as the first point of contact for potential customers, generating interest in Sphere's services and scheduling qualified meetings for Client Partners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys prospecting, opening conversations with decision-makers, and building the top of the sales funnel through a strategic, multi-channel outreach approach.

Responsibilities

Identify and research target companies and key decision-makers within Sphere's ideal customer profile (ICP);

Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and other sales engagement channels;

Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on business needs, budget, timing, and fit;

Schedule qualified discovery meetings for Client Partners and Account Executives;

Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects through consistent outreach and follow-up activities;

Personalize messaging and outreach strategies to increase response and conversion rates;

Maintain accurate prospect information and activity records in CRM;

Collaborate closely with Client Partners, Marketing, and Sales teams to improve outreach strategies and campaign effectiveness;

Stay informed about Sphere's services, market trends, and competitive landscape to effectively position the company's value proposition;

Consistently achieve activity, meeting, and pipeline generation targets.
Requirements

3+ years of experience as an SDR, BDR, or in an outbound sales/business development role;

Experience with cold calling and multi-channel outbound prospecting;

Experience generating qualified meetings through email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach;

Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft personalized outreach messages;

Understanding of outbound sales methodologies, lead qualification, and pipeline generation;

Experience working with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and sales engagement tools;

Highly organized with excellent time management and follow-up skills;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence speaking to business and technology decision-makers;

Interest in technology, software development, consulting, AI, or IT services;

A foundational understanding of software development services or technology consulting is preferred;

Excellent oral and written communication in English is required.
Nice to Have

Experience selling software development services, IT consulting, or staff augmentation solutions;

Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Clay, or similar prospecting tools;

Experience working with US-based clients;

Knowledge of modern sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, SPIN, or Challenger Sales.
