At Sphere, we combine global expertise and local insight to help people and companies turn their ambitious goals into reality. We're now looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join one of our partner teams and lead the discovery and strategy phase for a core systems transformation at a mid-sized insurance company.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment of current claims and accounting systems (e.g., ProLaw), workflows, and pain points.
- Engage stakeholders across business, finance, and IT to gather requirements and document as-is processes.
- Define to-be state processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and document future-state vision.
- Develop a business and technical requirements package to support system selection and solution planning.
- Contribute to evaluating potential claims management solutions (system-agnostic at this stage).
Produce key deliverables including: process maps, fit-gap analysis, implementation roadmap, business case and executive summary, etc.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant in insurance or financial services.
- Deep understanding of insurance claims workflows, terminology, and system touchpoints.
- Experienced in documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience producing implementation roadmaps and supporting system evaluations.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working on claims system transformation projects.
- Exposure to or evaluation of Claims Management systems.
- Background in consulting or pre-sales (good at shaping solution direction).
- Familiarity with RFP or vendor selection processes.
